Other Materials
The SBG study – called for in the Decadal Survey for Earth Science and Applications from Space – has three objectives: identify and characterize a diverse set of high-value SBG observing architectures; assess the performance and cost effectiveness of architectures against SBG research and applications objectives; and perform sufficient in-depth design of one or more candidate architectures to enable near-term science return.
The NASA Earth Science Division (ESD) is seeking new ways to leverage the work and ideas in the non-governmental/private sector to contribute possible approaches that may address the designated observables recommendations in the 2017 ESAS in order to increase mission/observing system capability and/or to reduce costs.
