Hubble Financial Manager
Lauren B. Miller is the Hubble Space Telescope financial manager, responsible for carrying out funding and accounting responsibilities that ensure funds are used as earmarked, and enforcing compliance with NASA and federal policies and regulations.
Miller provides financial management advice to NASA centers and officials. She assures the accuracy and consistency of financial information in Goddard Space Flight Center’s financial records and systems, a role that involves interpreting federal statutes, regulations, and policies as well as NASA policies. She also prepares guidance for senior Hubble resource analysts, and reconciles financial statements to ensure that budgets and mission resources are appropriately enacted.
Miller has worked with the Hubble project since late 2021, after spending four years as a senior resource analyst for Earth Science Mission Operations (ESMO), supporting Ice Cloud and Land Elevation Satellite (ICESat-2) and Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) missions.
Miller obtained a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Maryland and spent several years in the banking industry before moving to Goddard. She grew up and lives in Pasadena, Maryland, with her husband and two children. In her free time, she enjoys boating and traveling.
