Eclipse Ambassadors
Sharing about NASA solar science & the 2023-24 eclipses in underserved communities.
Team Mission
Eclipse Ambassadors off the Paths will prepare 500 communities off the central paths of the back-to-back solar eclipses in 2023 and 2024. Engagement events will prepare community members to enjoy the science and wonder of this natural phenomenon.
The Astronomical Society of the Pacific and community partners will match college undergraduate students with amateur astronomers and train them to share the excitement of NASA solar science with their communities. Libraries and other community centers will support Eclipse Ambassadors reaching 10K people, focusing on traditionally underserved audiences.
Applications for Eclipse Ambassadors will begin in the summer of 2022.
